 About me

Hi.  Just to give you a little info about myself.  I bought my first Minolta SLR Film camera at the age of 22 years old.  My intentions were just to take some family pictures.  A few years later , I was asked to take pictures at a friend's wedding , gradually photographing a few more weddings for friends.  As I progressed I took an interest in landscape photography.  My thought was to create a photo to look like a painting or watercolor.  As the years went by, I really got interested in not only taking photos but also the aspect of printing them . In the last few years I started making frames and cutting mats. Also doing some restoration photo work for clients. I try to set a high standard on my work and presentation so that I'll have confidence that my work will last for many years to come.

Theodore Flamand

My name is Theodore Flamand, and I have lived here in Sault Ste Marie for over 20 years. I am of Aboriginal descent; born on Manitoulin Island. I grew up in Wiikwemkoong Unceded Indian Territory and accomplished all my schooling in Sault Ste Marie. Manitoulin is my home; it's The Heart of Turtle Island. Out there, the wildflowers grow with abandon, the forests are teeming with life, and culture flows strongly through my people. I have worked in art galleries for years now, handled art from all over the world and created many customized projects for people of all ages. I aim to bring a strong quality-focused mindset that I have developed through the years of Custom Framing work ranging from Wiikwemkoong to Toronto. Now I am back home in Sault Ste Marie and have been working with Brian Fulin as a business partner in Custom Framing.
